A nautical culinary heaven in Coral Gables

Francesco, soon to become a vibrant part of Coral Gables’ Miracle Mile life, draws inspiration from its iconic location – the Miracle Theatre at Miracle Mile. The design, curated in collaboration with architect William H. Lee of Philadelphia, promises to introduce a fresh interior atmosphere that pays homage to the historic movie palace known as «The Showplace of the Riviera.»

Francesco: Nautical 'streamline modern' design

Embracing the «Streamline Modern» style, a nod to the Art Deco movement and Miami’s subtropical environment, Francesco aims to contribute to the cultural tapestry of Greater Miami. The design narrative takes cues from the theater’s marquee curves, plate glass entrance doors, and the allure of hallway mirrors. Inside, expect a harmonious blend of elements – terrazzo floors and natural wood. A contemporary nautical twist, inspired by the ports of Sardegna, Callao, and Miami, adds a touch of «Herencia Latina» while preserving the elegance of the iconic heritage building.

A culinary legacy from Sardegna to Callao

The roots of Francesco’s culinary tradition trace back to the Giuglietta & Guglielmo family in Carloforte, Sardegna, a heritage migrated to Peru in 1932, finding a home in Callao Port. Francesco Danovaro, son of Olga Liceti and Francesco Danovaro, carries forward this family culinary legacy. This journey from Sardegna to Callao is not just geographical but a flavorful exploration that has shaped Francesco’s unique culinary identity.

Callao - inspired culinary journey

Callao, a celebration of the ocean and vibrant fishing culture, inspires Francesco’s modern take on classic Italo-Peruvian family cuisine. The design draws from oceanic hues, featuring cornflower blue and timeless yellow and blue combinations, echoing the sunlit sailing experience. Dark blue-green terrazzo floors reflect the depths of the ocean, while nautical bars invite diners into an immersive experience. Wood-plank constructions pay homage to Callao’s boats, creating a unique and elegant ambiance.
